An excellent job goes out to the members of Platoon #3 on the work they did for the Engine 11 Truck 6 Reunion. Many hours were spent going over old journals, contacting past members, making accommodations to host the event, even setting up a website. With over 200 members past and present in attendance a good time was had by all. To view pictures of the event click on the link below. Well done men.

| 2nd ALARM ROWHOMES ACROSS FROM FIREHOUSE |
| Date: |
11/1/07 |
As Engine 11 left the local grocery store and turned onto Holmead Place, a large volume of smoke was visible in the street. Upon investigation, members found heavy fire showing from the rear of 2 rowhomes in the 1300blk of Otis Place, NW – just 3 blocks from quarters. As E-11 called for the box, some “local citizens” banged on the doors of the firehouse, alerting the Chief and crew of E-54 (an extra engine placed in service with plus staffing). Engine 11 took 1st due position on side A and advanced a line on the fire, extinguishing heavy fire conditions on both floors of 1344 Otis. Truck 6 was clearing another run and was assigned to the exposure (1342 Otis) on arrival. Crews in the exposure found heavy fire in the cockloft. Much grunt-work was required to expose the fire. T-6’s roof team headed to the roof to help expose the cockloft from above and cut off the extending fire. Battalion 4 transmitted a 2nd alarm on this fire.
