1708 KENYON ST NW FIRST DUE HOUSE
Date: 7/24/07 Just before midnight Engine 11 and Truck 6 along with other 4th and 5th batt. units were alerted to the 1700 blk of Kenyon St NW in the Mt Pleasant area for the house on fire. The engine and truck arrived first due to find a two story rowwhouse with fire involving the entire second floor. Engine 11 made quick work of the fire while Truck 6 searched, vented and opened the place up.

TWO SMALL FIRES FOR PLATOON #1
Date: 7/20/07 The fist fire was at 1448 Park Rd NW at 0951 hrs. Engine 11 and Truck 6 found a kitchen on fire in an apartment. Later that afternoon both units responded to the 3100 blk of 19th St in the Mt Pleasant neighborhood for the house fire. The front porch of a house was on fire due to an electrical short.

13TH STREET HOUSE FIRE
Date: 7/16/07 On Monday the 16th Engine Co. 11 and Truck Co. 6 along with the 4th Batt. Chief were alerted to a house on fire at 4911 13th St NW in the Petworth section of the city. Both units were second due and took the rear position. Engine 11 advanced their 350' 1 1/2 line, checked the basement and made their way to the third floor. Truck 6 laddered the rear and went to work openeing up the roof and the fire floor.

12TH STREET FIRE
Date: 7/14/07 Platoon #3 took in this rowhouse fire in the 2200 blk of 12th St NW. First arriving units found a room and contents fire in the rear bedroom. Engine Co. 11 was clearing a medical local and was assigned as the 5th due Engine while Truck Co. 6 was the first due truck.

LOSS OF A BROTHER
Date: 7/7/07 The officers and members of Engine Co. 11, Truck Co. 6, and the 4th Batt. Fire Chief would like to extend their deepest condolences to the the friends and family members of Firefighter Technician James J. McRae III of Truck Co. 12 who passed away while on duty Saturday, July 7th, 2007. God Speed Brother.
