500 BLOCK CRITTENDEN STREET NW
Date: 2/28/07 E-11 and T-6 responded for a reported house fire in the 500 block of Crittenden Street NW. First arriving units found smoke coming from the second floor of the two story row house. The fire was contained to a room and contents on the second floor. Picture courtesy of DCFD.com.

600 BLOCK BUTTERNUT STREET NW
Date: 2/27/07 Around 0400 hours units were dispatched to the 600 block of Butternut Street NW. E-11 was fourth due and T-6 was on the working fire dispatch. The fire was in the walls and the attic area of the building. Picture courtesy of DCFD.com.

FIRST DUE FIRE FOR #4 PLATOON
Date: 2/26/07 Just after midnight 4th batt. units were alerted to a building fire at 732 Lamont St NW. Engine 11 and Truck 6 arrived 1st due to find a 2 story vacant apartment building with a unit off in the rear.

ENGINE 11 AND TRUCK 6 ON 2ND ALARM IN THE 5TH BATT.
Date: 2/18/07 Platoon #1 responded on the second alarm for the house on fire in the 3900 blk of McKinley St. NW. Engine 11 assisted with knocking the fire down in the "B" exposure. Truck 6 made their way to the rear where they extended the aerial to the roof, opened up and assisted with knocking the fire in the main fire building.

1400 BLOCK V STREET
Date: 2/11/07 E-11 responded third due to an apartment fire in the 1400 block of V Street. The fire involved the kitchen of a basement apartment. The fire was quickly knocked down by E-11. T-6 responded on the working fire dispatch and served as the RIT team. Picture courtesy of DCFD.com.

CONGRATS TO SGT PAUL O'CONNOR
Date: 2/6/07 The officers and members of Engine Co. 11 and Truck Co. 6 would like to congratulate Paul O'Conner (E-11-4) on his promotion to the rank of Sergeant. Paul is headed to Fire Prevention were he'll be an inspector. Good luck Paul, and remember, as you climb that promotion ladder not to forget where you came from.

TWO NEW TECHS FOR TRUCK 6
Date: 2/6/07 The two technician vacancies for Truck 6 have finally been filled. After all their hard work FF Chris Hershey (T-6-3) will be the tillerman on Platoon #3 and FF Rob Chamberlain (T-6-1) will take the truck drivers spot on Platoon #4. Good luck and well done men.
