Units responded to the 7100 block of 9th Street N.W. First arriving units found fire showing from the first and second floors of the residence. A second alarm was sounded due to amount of fire and the possibility of it spreading through the cockloft. A quick interior attack knocked down the bulk of the fire, but the cockloft area took about 30 minutes to extinguish.
